Ramblings

I spent most of my time the last couple of months gaming. I lost interest in writing and immersed myself in the first Division game. Once I’ve reached the endgame, I shifted my attention to The Witcher 3’s Blood and Wine expansion. I have yet to finish that one, but now that I’m sucked right back into the Witcher world, I have no intention of rushing to finish it.

Then a few days ago, I decided to pick up a book that’s been sitting on my little makeshift bookshelf and finally get into reading it. I figured since I’ll be flying back to Manila soon, it doesn’t matter if I end up liking or disliking it. I’ll just leave it on my shelf there and free up some space in our NZ apartment. Getting back to reading sparked my desire to write again, so here I am, typing away on my laptop and just letting my thoughts flow freely. I post stuff on this blog primarily for myself (and my family) anyway, so it doesn’t shouldn’t matter if I decide to go completely off tangent. By the way, in case anybody’s interested, the book was called A Plague of Giants by Kevin Hearne. I knew nothing about the author or his previous work before I started reading. Admittedly, it wasn’t the best Fantasy I’ve read, but it was pretty decent in my opinion.

Anyway, I realized I haven’t written a single entry about the food adventures we had on our trip to Australia, so that will probably be the first thing I’ll have to mend soon. It really doesn’t help that Instagram makes it easier to post food photos online, and I hate that it makes me lazier too. Going through all the photos for a blog post can honestly be such a pain at times, but I’ll gladly go through it while my interest holds. That very interest in things tend to wax and wane in intensity. When it’ll change is something I don’t know. What I do know is I always go back to the same interests after a while – writing about food included.

I can relate to the “laziness” of writing a new blog after the last one. I was at hime in Bangkok for a whole month. I ate my whole vacation and took so many food shots but Instagram was an easy place to share. Two months dunce I’m back in Europe and I still haven’t edited my photos fir my blog!😂

Instagram has made it much quicker to post things, but it’s just not the same as a blog post. Here’s to us and our blogs! Let’s both try and be better at editing and posting regularly. :p
