A Look into Pandemic

My husband and I got into playing board games quite recently. Thanks to YouTube channels like Tabletop Games and Watch It Played, we’ve become addicted to these things. It’s only been a couple of months since we started playing co-op games together, but we’ve already bought several games. Our latest acquisition is Pandemic, made by Matt Leacock and published by Z-Man games. We couldn’t find a copy of this back in Manila, despite visiting several gaming stores. Thankfully, they had plenty of copies here in Welly and we got one from Cerberus Games.

Fisherman’s Plate | Wellington CBD

It’s been gloomy and gray here in Wellington for a few days now, and it’s times like these when we have a hankering for some good noodle soup. Thankfully there’s a couple of places which serve great pho within the city. One of our favorite places to go to is Fisherman’s Plate, a small restaurant tucked away in a side street that’s easy to miss. Don’t be fooled, though. This place may be nondescript, but their food is anything but.

Things We Love About Wellington

We hardly knew anyone and although we were excited, deep inside we were also a bit nervous. What if things don’t go as smoothly as we expected? What if we don’t get to adjust? Thankfully, all those worries were proven unnecessary. Just a couple of days in, S and I have fallen in love with Wellington. There are many reasons why we’re happy to be here. Here are just a few:

Southern Cross Garden Bar Restaurant | Wellington CBD

I can’t believe it’s already February! I know everyone else says it, but it really did feel like January just whooshed past us so quickly. A friend of ours will be leaving for a 2-week trip to Mexico mid-February as part of her company’s recognition program and we had a little dinner to celebrate her success. We headed to Southern Cross Garden Bar, which wasn’t too far away from where we all lived. The inside of the place was absolutely gorgeous; so spacious and way bigger than what it looked like from the outside.
