Joe’s Garage | Wellington CBD

It’s a challenge to find things to write about after cutting down on the number of times S and I eat out. This is all because we’re saving money and (more importantly) calories for our upcoming trip to Australia. Thankfully, I noticed I have some photos from Joe’s Garage sitting in my phone’s gallery and thought that it was the perfect chance for me to do a little post about that meal.

It was after watching one of the films featured during the Japanese Film Fest when we dropped by Joe’s Garage along Tory Street. It’s a place we see all the time (thanks to our Pokemon Go playtime) but just didn’t get to check out until we couldn’t think of any other place and decided to pop in for a quick bite.Β

Top Kitchen | Wellington CBD

There are very few things that bring comfort to my soul (and tummy) quite like Chinese food. Whether I’m feeling sickly, lazy or just plain ravenous, Chinese food seems to be the answer to everything. I know it’s not exactly the healthiest of all cuisines, but it sure is one of the tastiest!

One place which endeared itself to us is Top Kitchen, a small family-run restaurant along Cuba Street. When we first visited, we tried the usual roasted meats over rice and weren’t too blown away. We returned a second time to try their other dishes and were so satisfied that we’ve come back multiple times since then.
